E6 Connect lets you set your handicap so the course plays at the right difficulty level for your game. From the round setup screen before you tee off, tap on your player profile and enter your handicap. This adjusts stroke allocation across the course and makes group play more competitive when players are at different skill levels.
Not every player in your group needs to play from the same tees. E6 Connect lets each player choose their own tee box — from beginner friendly forward tees all the way back to championship tees. Set this up per player during round setup so everyone plays a distance that's fun and appropriate for their skill level.
Tap the overhead map or distance icon on the touchscreen during your round to see exact yardages to the front, center, and back of the green, as well as hazards and layup targets. Use this the same way you'd use a rangefinder on the course — don't just guess, check your yardage every time.
Always check the wind before you club up — it matters just as much in the simulator as it does on a real course. Wind speed and direction are displayed on the shot info screen, usually shown as an arrow with mph. Factor it in just like you would outdoors — a 15mph headwind can cost you a full club or more.
Before you putt, use the green reading overlay to see the slope and break direction. Take your time — putting on a simulator is more realistic than most people expect. Pay attention to the slope indicators on screen, aim your feet accordingly on the mat, and keep your stroke smooth. Distance control is everything on the simulator greens just like real life.
**putt from in front of hitting surface for best results.
Don't stay locked into one camera angle — E6 Connect offers multiple views including behind the ball, aerial, and broadcast style. Tap the view button on the touchscreen to cycle through options and find what feels most natural for your game. The aerial view is great for reading the hole layout before you hit.
Just hit something great — or something terrible? Use the replay feature to watch your shot back from multiple angles. Tap Replay on the touchscreen immediately after your shot. Great for checking your ball flight, seeing exactly where it landed, and giving your group something to cheer (or laugh) about.
Need a break mid-round? Use the Pause or Save & Exit option in the menu rather than just walking away. This saves your round progress so you can pick up where you left off if you have time remaining or return during a future session. Exiting without saving will lose your round progress.
Before starting a full round, use the Practice Range to warm up and get calibrated to the simulator. Some game modes also allow mulligans — check the round settings before you tee off if you want a more casual, relaxed round where re-hitting is allowed. Great option for first-timers or family sessions.
Don't just hit aimlessly — set a specific target distance before each shot. Use the distance selector on the touchscreen to place a target flag at your chosen yardage. This turns range time into purposeful practice and helps you dial in exact club distances.
After every swing the simulator displays your key stats — club speed, ball speed, carry distance, total distance, launch angle, and spin rate. Take a moment to read these after each shot rather than immediately reaching for the next ball. This data is what makes simulator practice so valuable compared to a regular range.
Use the range to build your personal distance chart. Hit 5-10 shots with each club and note your average carry. The simulator tracks every shot so you can see your consistency and identify which clubs you're most reliable with. This is one of the most practical things you can do to improve your on-course decision making.
E6 Connect's range includes multiple target pins you can aim at — not just a flat hitting area. Switch between targets at different distances and directions to simulate real approach shots. Try to land within a set radius of the pin to make it competitive — great for solo practice or group challenges.
Experiment with shot shape on the range — the simulator accurately tracks draws, fades, and straight shots based on your real swing. Try adjusting your stance or swing path and watch how it affects the ball flight data on screen. Great for working on a specific shot shape you want to add to your game.
On the driving range you can typically turn wind off to focus purely on ball striking, or turn it on to simulate real playing conditions. Find this in the range settings on the touchscreen. Practicing with wind on is great preparation for playing the courses.
The biggest mistake on the simulator range is treating it like a regular bucket of balls and hammering through shots as fast as possible. Slow down between shots, check your data, make one adjustment at a time, and hit with intention. 20 quality shots beats 100 mindless ones every time.
Showdown is Full Swing's arcade-style golf game — think mini golf meets real golf in a fun, competitive format. It's designed to be accessible for all skill levels and is perfect for groups, beginners, or anyone who wants a faster, more casual round than a full 18 holes on a real course.
Showdown is your go-to option if someone in your group doesn't play golf or is brand new to it. The arcade format means everyone can compete on a level playing field regardless of skill level — no handicap needed, just fun.
Showdown rounds move significantly faster than a traditional course round — great if you want to fit in a full competitive game without committing to 9 or 18 holes. Perfect for groups who want variety during their session — play a round of Showdown then switch to arcade games or courses.
Unlike regular golf where distance is a big advantage, Showdown rewards accuracy above everything else. Aim carefully at your target rather than swinging as hard as possible. A well-placed punch shot often scores better than a maximum effort drive.
Just like the multisport games, Showdown includes a Boost option for younger or less experienced players. Turn it on to give junior players or beginners a helping hand and keep the competition fun and close for everyone in the group.
Showdown tracks scores and displays a leaderboard after each hole — keep an eye on it to see where you stand and add some friendly trash talk to your session. Screenshot the final leaderboard at the end of your game to save bragging rights! 😄
Because Showdown rounds are short and fast, it's easy to play multiple rounds back to back. Try different strategies on your second round based on what worked and what didn't — the replayability is one of the best things about it.
